I have always liked Mafikizolo. I cannot remember when I heard their music for the first time. But there was something about it that stayed with me even though then just like now, I do not speak a word of Zulu beyond kunjani, ngiyabonga and a smattering of a few other phrases. Two songs from their repertoire have always stood out for me … Emlanjeni and Ndihamba nawe.
